Portitxol or Portitxolet Cove - Moraira

On the road from Moraira to El Portet beach and close to the mouth of the Club Náutico Moraira, we find the secluded Cala Portitxol or Portitxolet (Portitxol Cove), very suitable for diving and fishing.

It is a cove frequented mostly by local people who prefer to be in a quieter environment.

Access to Cala Portitxol is by stairs from the Portitxol viewpoint.

The rocks form several levels of terraces, ideal for laying out towels and sunbathing.

The views are spectacular, from Cap d'Or to the Peñón de Ifach, including the Club Náutico de Moraira.

It is home to the micro-reserve of flora of the same name, in which the species known as cat's head steppe stands out. It is a good area for the sighting of sea birds such as the great cormorant and the shag.
